Before: a reason to attend
Programme and communication should answer one question: why should this specific audience spend time on this conversation? Clear value is stronger than a long list of topics.
During: rhythm, not only an agenda
A strong experience is built from pacing, space, technical reliability, conversations and room for connection. It is the direction of attention, not just a schedule.
After: the second life of content
Interviews, conclusions, video, quotes and analysis can extend the life of a conference for months. Post-event communication should be designed together with the programme.
Measure against the objective
Registrations, attendance and views are useful but may not be the primary outcome. Partnerships, audience quality, media presence or a professional community may matter more.
